The Strategic Alliance of Nanjing on IPR Protection was officially founded in the city on April 15. The organization, which was proposed by Nanjing Municipal People's Procuratorate, now has 146 members varying from college research institutes, technical enterprises, administrative and judicial organs, IPR intermediaries, trade association and professionals.

It is the first IPR protection platform in China that has embodied so diversified membership.

The Alliance aims to promote technical innovation and enhance IPR protection, reinforce the ability of the member agencies on IPR protection and exploitation and support new businesses. To be more specific, it will provide a platform for members to communication and coordinate with each other, encourage the cultivation of a favorable soft environment conductive to innovation and develop a trinity IPR regime which integrates self protection, administrative and judicial protection into one system.  

The alliance will be also dedicated to the reinforcement of cooperation among members and the development of legal assistance measures that are commonly adapted to industrial practices, so as to guild enterprises to solve IPR problems and safeguard their interests.
