The 43rd AIPPI World Intellectual Property Assembly is held in the South Korean capital Seoul from October 20 to 23 2012. More than 120 members from AIPPI China branch attended the meeting.

On October 23, 2012, the executive board of AIPPI World Intellectual Property Assembly had voted to determine which city will play host for the 2020 assembly.

 Finally the Chinese  city of Hangzhou recommend by the China branch of AIPPI won the battle to host the 2020 assembly with a 66% majority.
