Thailand DIP Director-General visited Yunnan IPO

On September 4, Director-General of Thailand Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) Pajchima Thanasanti and her party visited Yunnan Provincial Intellectual Property Office (IPO) on invitation. Mrs. Pajchima Thanasanti exchanged views with principals from Yunnan Provincial IPO and Yunnan Provincial Copyright Bureau. She also visited Kunming agency of the Patent Bureau under the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and Yunnan IPR Aid Center.

At the meeting, Director of Yunnan IPO Gao Songshan welcomed Pajchima Thanasanti and her party and briefed on the main duty of Yunnan IPO, patent applications and the implementation of Yunnan provincial IPR strategy. Gao Songshan said that in the past three years, the patent applications and grants both increased rapidly. During the implementation of IPR strategy, Yunnan Province redoubled efforts in the issuance of IPR strategy with Yunnan characteristics, the establishment of long-term work mechanism, the formulation of supporting policies, the use of IPR system in enterprises, the creation of sound environment to carry out IPR strategy and talent cultivation. 

Gao Songshan expected to develop cooperation with Thailan DIP in the future. 

Deputy Director of Yunnan Provincial Copyright Bureau Liu Shuiyun introduced the duty of the agency and the latest progress of copyright work. He noted that Thailan and Yunnan Province can have wide cooperation in copyright trade and copyright industry development. Liu Yunshan hoped to enhance communication with senior officials from Thailand IPR divisions. 

Pajchima Thanasanti gave a high evaluation to the IPR work of Yunnan Province and exchanged ideas on IPR use and protection. She also wanted the two sides could enhance cooperation and information exchange.
