On August 6, the IPR Service Advanced Practice Training organized by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) was held in Beijing, the capital city of China. Vice SIPO Commissioner Gan Shaoning attended the opening ceremony. He pointed out that one of the key tasks of the SIPO in 2012 was to accelerate the development of IPR service sector.
According to Gan Shaoning, nowadays, the lack of talents, particularly inter-disciplinary talents in IPR service sector has hindered the development of IPR service sector in China. Gan Shaoning expected the trainees could improve their service quality, modernize service modes, raise the social competitiveness and international influence of their agencies and guide the development of IPR service sector of China.
50 participants attended the opening ceremony inclusive of principals from the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) and relevant divisions of the SIPO and trainees from the country.
It is informed that IPR service sector has been included into national service industries and has become one of the eight key realms that would be given priority to develop.
