Application for the record of Trademark licensing contract

Any trademark registrant may, by signing a trademark license contract, authorize other persons to use his registered trademark. The licensor shall supervise the quality of the goods in respect of which the licensee uses his registered trademark, and the licensee shall guarantee the quality of the goods in respect of which the registered Trademark is used.

Licensee should send the copy of trademark licensing contract to the trademark office for the record within three months from the date of signing the contract. Where any party is authorized to use a registered trademark of another person, the name of the licensee and the origin of the goods must be indicated on the goods that bear the registered trademark.

The record for Trademark Licensing contract can be made by the licensor himself or by authorizing Eastking.


The necessary documents:
1. The application form for the record for Trademark Licensing contract. One application form is just for one licensee and one trademark.
2. The original Trademark Licensing contract or Notarized copy signed by the applicant. Foreign language writing contract shall also be attached to the corresponding Chinese translation.
3. Qualification documents of Licensor and licensee
4. Power of attorney to authorize Eastking as its agent.

The Trademark Licensing contract must have the following article:
1.  The trademark for licensing and its registration number.
2.  The goods and list for licensing.
3.  The use period for licensing.
4.  The way of providing representations of this registered trademark.
5.  Articles of goods quality supervision for the licensor to its registered trademark.
6.  Term indicates that the name of the licensor and the origin of the goods of the licensed trademark by the licensee.
