After registration, if there is any change in address or name or other items in the register of Proprietor, it should file an application to the trademark office for these changes.

Because of the business combination or Merger, the exclusive use of trademarks had been assigned, and then the assignment should be registered. The exclusive use of trademarks isn’t assigned because of the change of the register’s name.

There are four kinds of forms for different changes, the form of application to change the applicant/register’s name/address, the form of application to delete the goods or services, the form of application to change the agent, the form of application to change the register’s name and registration details.

The necessary documents: the form of application, the document for the applicant’s qualification, power of attorney, change certificate made by register office in case of change of the register’s name, Chinese translation should be provided if the application documents are in foreign language.

Change the name or address of the trademark proprietor, the trademark proprietor should change its entire registered trademark together.

After submission of the application for change，if it matches condition, the trademark office shall send the filing receipt, if does not match condition, it will not be accepted, and the applicant shall be notified of not acceptance.

If amendment is needed for the application, the trademark office will notify the applicant to amend within a prescribed period of time. If the applicant fails to amend within prescribed time, the trademark office could treat the application as that the applicant give up, or shall not be approved.

For the application for change of the agent of three-year non-use cancellation, opposition, review for opposition, and review for refusal shall be filed to the relevant departments directly, and application for change of the agent of name/address change, renewal and cancellation can't be filed with this application form.
